Mission Statement
Halifax Electric Membership Corporation, a rural electric cooperative
incorporated in 1938, is committed to providing reliable and
affordable electric service at rates consistent with sound business
principles and at cost of operation. The Cooperative is proud to
actively participate in the communities in which it is locally owned
and operated, to assist in the development of a viable economic
development plan, and to make our communities better places in which
to live and work.
