Water Heater Rebate

Halifax EMC will rebate to its members $50 for an electric water heater installed in their home:

Requirements

To receive a rebate on a new electric water heater, the unit must meet the following requirements:

A minimum of a 40-gallon insulated storage tank
Two heating elements with the following specifications:
- 40-49 gallons – 4500 watts each
- 50-119 gallons – 5500 watts each
- 120 gallon or larger – Special Approval

Halifax EMC will rebate to its members $250 for a heat pump water heater installed in their home.

To receive a rebate on an Energy Star electric heat pump water heater, the unit must meet the following requirements:

Must be placed in the primary residence; vacation homes and rentals do not qualify
The unit must replace an existing water heater
A minimum of 50-gallon tank is required and the unit must have an energy factor >/=2.0
Member must submit rebate form and copy of sales receipt within 90 days of purchase
