Director Earns Director Gold Certification

Halifax EMC Director Barbara Brayboy, District 3, recently earned the Director Gold Credential.

She was presented her certificate at a monthly co-op board meeting by Charles Guerry, executive vice president.

The Director Gold Credential is the third part of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA) three-part Director Education Program. It was created to recognize directors committed to continuing their education beyond the Credentialed Cooperative Director and Board Leadership certifications, and who desire a tangible credential that demonstrates their ongoing commitment to advancing their knowledge and performing their fiduciary duty to the best of their ability.

Currently, three out of nine directors have earned the Director Gold Credential.
