We are pleased to inform you that our Halifax Helps Program continues to be a huge success! This program was established in 2008 to provide financial assistance to areas served by Halifax EMC in education, economic development, energy efficiency, and emergency response. Funds for the Halifax Helps grants are voluntarily generated through Operation Round Up by “rounding up” members’ electric bills to the nearest dollar. Last year we awarded grants in the spring and fall to charitable and nonprofit organizations served by Halifax EMC totaling $48,015. There are currently 7,332 members participating in this most worthwhile program. Pennies make dollars and together we are making a difference! Call our office (252) 445-5111, or visit our website and click on Operation Round Up to sign up.
