The Halifax Helps Program established in 2008 continues to be quite successful. Funds for Halifax Helps grants are voluntarily generated through Operation Round-Up by Halifax EMC members who sign up to have their electric service bills ‘rounded up’ to the next highest whole dollar amount. Average contributions are approximately six dollars per year. At the end of last year, 7,077 members were participating in Operation Round-Up. We are proud to inform you that through this program last year, fifteen grants were awarded totaling $33,499 in financial assistance to organizations served by Halifax
EMC in the areas of economic development, education, emergency response, energy efficiency, and environment. Pennies make dollars and together we are making a difference! To sign up for this program, please call our office at (252)-445-5111, or click here.
