Lassiter Receives Promotion

John Lassiter was promoted to Director of Operations effective July 1, 2023. Previously the Substation and Metering Supervisor, Lassiter was hired by Halifax EMC in 2002 as a Lineman III.

He has held various positions on the line crew, working his way up to Senior Lineman before transitioning to Substation Technician.

Lassiter and his wife, April, have five children and four grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as fishing and camping.

“John’s years of varied experience and contributions to the HEMC membership have prepared him for this role,” said Tucker Lemley, chief executive officer. “I am looking forward to working with John as we work towards making the operations department a best-in-class team and I am confident that he will excel in his new role and keep serving the HEMC membership with the values expected of all HEMC employees.”
