Volunteers In Action

Who are they?

Volunteers In Action is a group of Halifax EMC members or members’ spouses.

What do they do?

They serve as a public relations arm of the Marketing and Member Services Department in promoting Halifax EMC.

What are some of their activities?

They sponsor:

• VIA Educational Opportunity Scholarship for traditional and non-traditional students
• Scholarships for Youth Tourists
• Fundraising activities

They assist with:

• Halifax EMC Annual Meeting
• Scholarship judging
• 4-H Superball Golf Tournament
• Fundraising
• Decorating the HEMC office for holidays
